Abraham Lincoln was killed at the Ford Theater in Washington DC by an actor named John Wilkes Booth. There was a major conspiracy and planning behind the assassination of the President Lincoln on that one fateful night in 1865. Booth sneaked into the theater and shot Lincoln in the head in his presidential booth at the theater. Booth was able to get away for a short period of time before he was caught and subsequently shot to death.


Many of the conspirators with John Wilkes Booth were put on the trial under the government and hanged, some of the which were presumed to be innocent but the United States needed someone to pay for the actions of the assassination of the one of the most historic presidents to ever live. The trial regarding the killing of President Lincoln set the stage for one of the last trials to be held without a jury of civilians.

There are some weird and odd facts linking Abraham Lincoln to President John F Kennedy. Both were elected in the year 46, Lincoln was elected in 1846, and President JFK was elected in 1946. Both were succeeded by a president with the name of Johnson.
